From her vivacious stage performances to her infectiously rapturous personality, La Vie is a shining example of living life to the fullest! With such a becoming name, “La Vie,” which in French means “The Life,” uses her eclectic contemporary sound as a vehicle to encourage and empower all people to seek out and experience “the life” that God intends for all to have!
Charline Murphy, La Vie’s real name, realized the potential in her gift of singing in the seventh grade, yet didn’t begin pursuing gospel music until the age of 17. Since then, she has been awarded the opportunity to sing and travel with many local artists, as well as national and international recording artists, such as Martha Munizzi, Nigel Lewis, Papa San, and Joe Pace. @LAVIEmusic has also recently re-released her first solo album, entitled “Life Music,” and is presently working her second.
Now, employing her sensational collaboration of Soul, R&B, and Neo-Soul musical styles, La Vie’s ministry breaks through the barriers of traditional gospel platforms while expressing her lifelong message: to show the world what God has shown her, that each and every person is not only uniquely designed, but is wonderfully created with vision…with purpose!
It’s time to embrace your greatness! It’s time to live “THE LIFE!”.
Type Every once in a while an artist comes along with the ability to touch us with a very special gift. For Singer/Songwriter @CriStyleRenae that time is now. With a contralto voice filled with soul and passion, she is poised to make her mark on the music world.
For as long as she can recall, the South Florida native was always surrounded by music. “I was the baby of the family by 10 years, so I got to absorb the music of my parents and my older siblings. I was listening to everything from Isaac Hayes and Donny Hathaway to Anita Baker and Luther Vandross.”
She realized her talent at the age of 6, as her older brother would coax her to mimic current artists. He was the catalyst and from then on she knew she had something special. Over the years she has honed her talent to become an artist that reflects the same love, soul and warmth that her vocals resonate.
CriStyle relishes the unique connection formed between a performer and the audience. She lives to perform with a live band. “Performing is a communion, a sharing of energy and love. There is nothing like being able to fully express your art and give the audience a piece of you.” READ MORE
